How to Split Screen Fortnite and How to Play Fortnite on Xbox or PS4 with a Friend!

How to get split screen on fortnite xbox -  Let's see how to split screen in Fortnite on Xbox or PS4! This is a new feature that was recently added to the game and can allow you to play on the couch with a friend who is in real life with you! Epic is still working out the issues on this system, so expect some updates with some additional features in the near future. This is currently only available on Xbox and PlayStation, we don't know if it will be available on PC or Nintendo Switch.

You'll need a second driver for this to work, so make sure your friend brings one or has one for your system. You will also need to have an additional profile on your system for them to choose from so that they appear as a different player in the game. That profile doesn't necessarily need to have an Epic Games account, but if your friend wanted to access their controller-specific settings, they'd need to sign in or enter them all.

How to Split Screen in Fortnite on Xbox One

This is how the screen is split on Xbox in Fortnite:

• Open Fortnite and go to the lobby.
• Turn on the second controller.
• Press the Xbox Dashboard button on the second controller (the Xbox button in the middle of the controller).
• Scroll left and find the Sign in area and press Change profile.
• Choose the profile you want the second player to play with.
• Hold down the A button on the second controller to log in.
• Your friend can enter their Epic Games account information or play as a guest.
• That's all you need to do to get the second player into the game on Xbox! There are additional things you should know, listed below in the additional information section.

How to split screen Fortnite on PS4

This is how the screen is split on PlayStation 4 in Fortnite:

• Open Fortnite and go to the lobby.
• Turn on the second controller.
• You will be prompted to select a profile, so choose the one you want to play with.
• Hold down the X button on the second controller to log in.
• Your friend can enter their Epic Games account information or play as a guest.
  

That's all you need to do to get the second player into the game on PS4! There are additional things you should know, listed below in the additional information section.

Additional Information

When you log in as the second player, you can take control of the screen and access your skins and everything else that is on that second account. To do this, hold down the A Button (Xbox) or X Button (PS4) and the second player will take control. You can change it back by pressing and holding that button on the first player's controller!
