Fortnite adds gyroscopic controls for PS4/PS5 and PC

The company has just announced that people who use PS4/PS5 and PC now have another method to increase their accuracy. Fortnite just introduced gyroscopic controls for these platforms.

Fortnite players can now use gyro controls on PS4/PS5 and PC 

Right now, there are a few main ways to play shooters: mouse and keyboard, controllers, and gyro controls. Each method has its own advantages and disadvantages. People using the Nintendo Switch were able to use gyro controls for Fortnite, but now that's not the case.

Epic Games just implemented this for Fortnite on PS4, PS5, and PC. For both consoles, it will use the native gyroscopic capabilities of the PlayStation controllers. As for PCs, you'll need to buy a controller that has the hardware gyro.

You can also customize the controls

As seemingly useful gyro controls are in Fortnite and other games, they can get annoying. That's why customization options are available to fine-tune the experience.

For starters, there are two separate modes (one for a building and one for combat) that will handle the gyroscopic controls differently. This means you can enable controls for scoped weapons and disable them when building.

In addition, there is a menu of gyro control options. It gives you the possibility to choose when the gyroscopic controls, sensitivity, acceleration, stabilization, etc. are activated. This means that you will be able to activate it when it is most needed.

Fortnite is no longer available to download on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Instead, Epic Games has the game on its own store and on Nvidia's GeForce Now service.

It will render a game in the cloud and stream it directly to your phone. This is no different from Stadia or Xbox cloud gaming.

You can now play Fortnite on GeForce Now with touch controls enabled. This is great because you won't need to have any external hardware. To play games on GeForce Now, you'll need a Bluetooth controller to connect to your phone.
